Hi, my name is Amy Nunn and I grew up skating at the Burnsville club. At the age of 14 I began training in Denver, Colorado, and at the Broadmoor Skating Club in Colorado Springs for ten years. Throughout my time in Colorado, I was a 6-time Sectional qualifier, two-time international competitor, and the 2008 National Collegiate Silver medalist. I worked with many Olympic and World coaches/choreographers who helped my skating and coaching develop to reach my goals.
I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. I also have a Health Fitness Specialist certification through American College of Sports Medicine. I firmly believe in off-ice training to prevent injuries and have a well-rounded approach to training. Another one of my focuses is on mental training to increase practice and performance quality.
I am a member of the USFS and PSA with a basic accreditation. I continue to seek a higher education in all areas of coaching to help teach my skaters the best way possible. Every skater has different learning styles, and I try to tailor my coaching to reach the needs of each individual. Skating is a big passion in my life and it is a blessing for me to be able to share that with my students.
When away from the rink, I enjoy spending time with my two nephews and dogs. In the summer, I enjoy spending time on the lake. I am also an avid reader, who could spend hours in a library or book store.
