Kate Charbonneau

About Kate

Kate is the 2009 Canadian Junior Champion, a 6 time Minnesota State Champion, a Junior Grand Prix silver medalist (Croatia Cup) and 6 time competitor, a World Junior competitor, and competed in the 2010 Olympic trials where she placed 7th. She represented Canada through her competitive international skating career. Kate has skated for 21 years, taught Learn to Skate for 9 years, and private lesson coached for 5 years. 

Kate has been a coach with the Heratige FSC for the past year and works in the Farmington Learn to Skate program. She has been a home club coach at the FSC of Bloomington for 2 years and has taught in the Bloomington Ice Garden skate school for 9 years. She is currently the director of the Dakotah! Ice Center Learn to Skate program in Prior Lake. Kate was a  head coach and Learn to Skate director of the New Prague FSC from 2012-2014 and in 2014-2015 was the head coach of Tyringe Konstokning Klub in Sweden where she had students medal at international events and compete at the Swedish National Championships. She has also been the assistant coach to international competitors from Slovakia, multiple MN state champions, and multiple USFS Gold Medalists
